Developing storyline with the community chorus in Twistov for Teatro Vivo

Some of my earliest memories are of being read to as a child. Or making my own pencil scratches to convey a made-up tale; often about a woman called Mrs Martini who had a butler and a hat addiction…but that’s another story.

What’s your story and how do you choose to tell it?

With over 25 years’ experience telling, adapting and devising stories through live performance, film and audio projects, I love exploring how to awaken the power of a story to connect with an audience.

My diverse practice enables me to work with storytellers to explore the many ways their story can be told.

I work with writers, performers, communities, and individuals to explore bespoke ways to develop their stories.

My approach will often involve exercises to unlock imagination and open-up connection. Deep listening, free writing and rhythmic response exercises can liberate the voice of your story.

Nature and environment focused enquiry can help to develop the world of your story.

Reflective analysis on the here and now and your story’s place within it will open up possibilities on audience, form and approach.
